State Forest Flora Reserves
Flora Reserves are protected areas within State forests. Each Flora Reserve has a working plan that details how the area will be managed to protect and maintain the high conservation values in the area and the activities that are permitted. Flora Reserves are managed by the appointed land manager, which is either Forestry Corporation of NSW or the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Each flora reserve working plan has been approved by the Minister administering the Forestry Act 2012. Flora Reserve Working plans are available to download below.
Flora Reserves managed by Forestry Corporation
Forestry Corporation has updated its Flora Reserve Working Plans to comprise two parts. Part 1 details the principles and objectives for managing flora reserves in NSW State forests where Forestry Corporation is the land manager. This is to be read in conjunction with Part 2, which is site specific and describes each reserve’s unique values and provides detailed written schemes of the operations that will be carried out in the flora reserve to protect those values.
