About our business
Forestry Corporation of NSW was established as a state-owned corporation on 1 January 2013, and was appointed to manage the State forest estate in line with the objectives and functions of the Forestry Act 2012.
Our shareholder Ministers are:
- The Hon. Daniel Mookhey MLC, Treasurer
- The Hon. Courtney Houssos MLC, Minister for Finance.
The Minister responsible for the Forestry Act 2012 is The Hon. Tara Moriarty MLC, Minister for Agriculture.
Our Board is constituted under the Forestry Act 2012 and is responsible to the shareholder ministers for financial performance and compliance with all regulations.

Our Board is also responsible for overseeing Forestry Corporation’s operations under the forestry policies administered by the Minister responsible for the Forestry Act 2012.
