Wattle Flat Picnic Area and Campground has reopened.

However harvest operations continue operating south of Wattle Flat, between Styx Forest Way and the Armidale/Kempsey Road as outlined on the map here.

Access to Wattle Flat visitor areas is permitted via Point Lookout Road, south along Styx Forest Way to Wattle Flat.

This route avoids harvesting activity and haulage trucks exiting Styx Forest Way along the Armidale/Kempsey Road.

Please avoid traveling from Styx Forest Way South onto Armidale Kempsey Road to avoid heavy vehicle traffic and harvesting activity.
