Excursions

We offer curriculum-aligned school excursions at Cumberland and Strickland State forests.

Cumberland State Forest

Located in West Pennant Hills in Sydney, Cumberland State Forest i a 40-hectare forest including a planted arboretum and natural forest that has regenerated on formerly cleared paddocks and accessible walking trails.

Strickland State Forest

Located on the Central Coast 10 minutes from Gosford and the M1 Ourimbah exit,Strickland State Forest contains vegetation types ranging from heath to rainforest with the walking trails suitable for school groups.

Classroom resources

Forest Learning has a wide range of free teaching resources relevant to the curriculum with a focus on sustainable Australian forest management and renewable timber products.
