Mid North Coast residents are being invited to collect free firewood and learn valuable chainsaw safety skills at a two-day event in Kiwarrak State Forest near Old Bar.

Forestry Corporation has embarked on the second year of an alpine ash and white ash seed collection program to protect these important eucalypt forests from future fires.
