A formal complaint is a written expression of dissatisfaction made to Forestry Corporation about a direct impact on the complainant arising from Forestry Corporation's business and land management operations or any associated administrative matter or the conduct of staff undertaking these tasks.
Formal complaints should be acknowledged in writing within five working days. The complainant will be provided with an indication of the process for investigating and seeking to resolve the complaint.
You will be notified of the outcome of the complaint within 30 working days from the complaint being received wherever possible. Where a longer timeframe is needed to resolve a complaint, you will be informed of the likely timeframe and updated as the resolution progresses. If required, we will detail the outcome of the complaint in writing including a summary of the investigation process, the rationale for the finding and any follow-up action to be undertaken.
What if you are still not happy with our response?
We aim to resolve formal complaints directly with stakeholders. If stakeholders are not completely satisfied with the outcome, they may ask the corporation to review its decision. If they are still not satisfied with our response, they may refer the matter to the NSW Ombudsman.
