Mountain biking in Olney State Forest
Awaba MTB trails encompass around 200ha of Olney State Forest. The trails include options for kids and beginners, adaptive riding, XC/enduro, and downhill/gravity. Awaba MTB trails are spread throughout native forest areas.
The Hunter Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) manages and maintains the Awaba MTB Park network under a Forest Permit with Forestry Corporation of NSW.
Always check the HMBA website before planning your visit, as these trails are used regularly for events.
The essential info
Types of trails: XC, Gravity, Enduro
Length: Around 40km of trails
Trail head access: The trail head is in the main carpark. Drive along Freemans Drive (Freemans Waterhole) and turn onto Mount Faulk Road. Continue for around 2km. The entrance to Awaba MTB Park is on your right (Jenkins Road). Drive along unsealed road for several hundred metres to reach the main carpark and XC trail head.
