- <p>The NSW Annual Aboriginal Rugby League Knock Out (NSWAARLKO), also known as the Koori Knockout, is a significant event for Aboriginal people. It first took place on the October long weekend in 1971 at Camdenville Oval in St Peters. Seven teams from across the state gathered to unite, celebrate and showcase Aboriginal culture and sporting talent, laying the foundation for what is acknowledged today as the largest annual gathering for Aboriginal people in Australia.</p>

However, 100 years before we had Serena vs. Venus, Kobe vs. LeBron or Thorpie vs. Phelps, we had Mina vs. Fanny.</p></div><div><p paraid="716439651" paraeid="{d9fc99c3-e90b-435f-9299-ff97c87b8e47}{252}">Sarah ‘Fanny’ Durack and Wilhelmina 'Mina' Wylie were born in North Sydney just two years apart. Though they had radically different starts to their swimming careers, fate would bring them together and create a story for the ages. The pair overcame many hardships to become the first Australian women Olympic champions and the first women in the world to win Olympic medals in swimming. Their remarkable story highlights the strength and resilience of pioneering female athletes.</p></div>
