Closure - Edrom and Imlay roads Eden
Edrom Road near Eden is closed to the public until further notice following recent fires.
Forestry Corporation of NSW’s Amba Addinsall asked the community to stay off from Edrom Road further notice and follow Live Traffic NSW for updates on reopening.
“The fires have gone through the area surrounding Edrom Road and we are still carrying out hazard assessments so it is unsafe for the community to be using this road at the moment,” Ms Addinsall said.
“There are still significant hazards and fires in the area, so the road will be closed until further notice for the community’s safety. We are working with Live Traffic NSW and encourage people to check the status on Live Traffic NSW before travelling.”
Edrom Road is managed by Forestry Corporation of NSW.
A large number of other State forests remain closed until further notice, and Forestry Corporation is continuing to close forests periodically in line with shifting fire conditions.
Information about closures is available on the Forestry Corporation website or facebook page.
Anyone planning to visit a State forest should check current fire danger and fire bans via the Rural Fire Service website www.rfs.nsw.gov.au In an emergency, call 000.
