Closures and notices
From time to time forests, or sections of forests, need to be closed to the public for a variety of reasons including fire and flood, maintenance, or events.
A list of closures, bookings and notifications have been provided here to assist potential forests visitors. This list relates to forests with recreation areas only and does not cover forests closed for other operational reasons like harvesting.
Please Note: Some closures occur suddenly and staff may not yet have had the time to update this list. Therefore you are advised to call prior to visiting a state forest to ensure the forest is still open to the public.
