Excavators are used for road and dump construction, and loading log trucks. It has an arm reaching out from on top of the cabin which has different attachments, commonly a bucket or grapple. The grapple is used to lift logs and load them onto log trucks. The whole cabin and arm rotate 360 degrees while the tracks remain stationary.
