Bulldozer

Bulldozers are used for constructing roads and log dumps, fire fighting, and snigging logs.

When a log is snigged the bulldozer goes down to where the tree has been felled, grabs hold of it and sniggs (or drags) it up to the dump. A bulldozer can also remove bark if its blade is run down the side of the log.

Bulldozers have tracks instead of wheels. On the front is a blade which can move soil and vegetation. On the back is a winch with a cable used for snigging logs.

Bulldozers come in different sizes. Large ones are used for heavier work loads and steeper country while small ones are cheaper, easier to transport and are used for lighter work loads.
