Visitors to Bagawa State Forest are advised that Twelve Sixty Road between Glenreagh and Lowanna is closed until further notice.

A major landslip has made the landscape above the road unstable and there are fears the road could give way. An engineer has made an initial assessment of the site and we are forced to close the road for public safety.

There is a large amount of earth perched above the road that could give way at any time. The road will be closed until further notice while further investigations into causes and options for repair.

Please use alternate routes until repairs can be made and monitor our website for further updates. We ask that forest visitors obey the road closure signs as they are in place for your safety.
