Public Notification – Wild dog baiting in multiple Hunter and Mid North Coast NSW State forests

Hunter Local Land Services and Forestry Corporation of NSW wish to advise we will be carrying out an ongoing 1080 poison aerial baiting for ongoing fox and wild dog control commencing on 15/5/2020.
Baiting will occur in the following State Forests:
- MASSEYS CREEK
- BARRINGTON TOPS
- STEWARTS BROOK
- TUGGOLO
- NOWENDOC
- KNORRIT
- DINGO
- BULGA
- DOYLES RIVER.
1080 baits pose a high risk to domestic dogs. All pets and working dogs should be kept under control to ensure they do not enter the baiting location during poisoning operations or muzzle working dogs if they are required to work the baiting location during and after poisoning.
In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
