Campbells Island State Forest closed due to flooding
Campbells Island State Forest near Barham on the NSW/Victorian border has been closed to the public due to rain and increasing flood water.
Forests NSW district manager Western Region, Andrew McCurdy, who is based at Deniliquin, said the main access roads into the forest had been affected by rain and high Murray River flows.
He said Campbells Island State Forest would remain closed to the public until further notice.
The issuing of permits for the collection of firewood would continue in the designated collection zone of ‘Little Forest’ - Koondrook State Forest.
